Amazon - Creating a New Product Listing
Overview
Create a new Amazon listing from LinkSyncSell without logging into Amazon Seller Central. Keep in mind that Amazon has category-specific requirements that may affect whether your listing can go live.
Prerequisites
- Amazon Seller account connected in Connect Platforms
- An active subscription (product editing and posting require an active plan)
Steps
- Go to Catalog > Product Attribute Editor
- Select the Amazon tab
- Click the Create New Product button
- Select the Category (Amazon product type) first - this unlocks the rest of the form.
Amazon then shows the fields that apply to that product type, including:
- Title and bullet points
- Product description
- Product images
- Price, SKU, and inventory quantity
Required fields depend on the selected Amazon product type, and any remaining requirements are validated when you save. Note: this editor creates a single listing - multiple variants are not supported yet.
Choose how to save:
- Save Local Draft (App) - saves the listing in LinkSyncSell only, not on Amazon
- Save & Post to Amazon - submits the listing to Amazon
After you post, the listing status is managed by Amazon and shown as read-only. Amazon then applies its standard listing/validation process before the listing can go live.
Tips & Notes
Troubleshooting
Category restriction error.
Some Amazon categories require special approval before you can list in them. Apply for category approval directly through Amazon Seller Central.
Listing rejected.
Review Amazon's listing guidelines for your specific category. Amazon's rejection messages usually include the reason - use that to identify what needs to be fixed.
