Understanding Pricing Fields & Setting Prices Across Platforms

Updated July 2026 ยท Price Manager

Overview

Each platform uses different price field names and has its own pricing structure. This guide explains what each price field means and how to update prices - one at a time or in bulk.

Price Fields by Platform

Shopify

  • Price - the selling price shown to customers on your Shopify store
  • Compare At Price - a higher "was" price used to display a discount. Leave this blank if you're not running a sale.

Faire

  • Price - the retail (B2C) selling price
  • Wholesale Price - the price retailers pay when buying from you through Faire

TikTok Shop

  • Price - the base selling price shown to customers on TikTok Shop

Amazon

  • Price - your current selling (offer) price on Amazon
  • List Price - the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) used as a reference price

Updating Prices Manually (One Product at a Time)

  1. Find the product in the Price Manager table
  2. Click the price field you want to edit for the relevant platform
  3. Enter the new price
  4. Press Enter or click away - the edited field is highlighted and added to your pending changes
  5. A pending-changes bar appears at the top of the table. Click Save to push the changes to the platform, or Cancel to discard them

Updating Prices in Bulk

  1. Select the products you want to update using the checkboxes on the left
  2. A bulk action toolbar will appear
  3. Choose your pricing action:
  • Set New Price - enter a specific amount to apply to all selected products. First pick which price field to update: (Retail) Price, Wholesale Price, Compare At Price or List Price
  • Increase/Decrease Price - increase or decrease by a fixed amount or by a percentage
  • Set price where projected margin is $/% - calculate a price from a target profit margin (as a dollar amount or percentage)
  • Set Min/Max Price - set the minimum and/or maximum allowed price for the selected products
  • Apply Min/Max Rules - turn the min/max price rules on or off for the selected products

For Increase/Decrease Price and Set price where projected margin, you can optionally apply a Price Rounding Rule. Enter a decimal ending between $0.01 and $0.99, then choose:

  • Round Up - always rounds the adjusted price up to that decimal ending (e.g. round up to $0.99: $44.00 becomes $44.99)
  • Round to the nearest value - rounds to the closest matching decimal ending (e.g. nearest $0.99: $44.00 becomes $43.99)

You can also tick "Do not round if the new calculated price is a whole number" to keep clean prices like $10.00 unchanged.

  1. Review the settings and confirm to apply

Tip: "Set Based on Projected Margin" is a great option when you're adjusting for cost increases. Enter your target margin and let LSS calculate the right price for you automatically.
๐Ÿ“
Note: After a bulk update, a completion banner will confirm whether the update was successful, failed, or partially completed. All changes are logged in the Process Log and Audit Trail.

Tips & Notes

๐Ÿ’ก
Tip: Use bulk updates when you're running a sitewide sale or adjusting for a cost change that affects many products at once. It's much faster than editing each listing individually.
๐Ÿ“
Note: Bulk price updates default to the (Retail) Price field. For Faire, if you want to change the wholesale price, select Wholesale Price in the bulk action before applying.

Troubleshooting

A price change isn't appearing on the platform.

Check the Process Log for error messages related to the update. If there's a connection issue, the change may need to be reapplied once the platform is reconnected.

Amazon price isn't updating.

Verify that your Amazon listing is still active and that the Amazon account is still connected. Some Amazon listings may have price constraints set at the Amazon level.
