Hourly Revenue & Order Reports
Overview
The By Hour Revenue and Count of Orders report gives you a real-time picture of how your sales are pacing throughout the day. You can see your total revenue, order count, and average order value - and compare today's performance against yesterday or the previous week.
This report is right on your Overview page, so you don't need to navigate anywhere to get your daily snapshot.
How to Access
The By Hour Revenue and Count of Orders widget is on the Overview page (your home dashboard). Scroll down past the onboarding banner if it's still visible. You'll see the KPI summary stats and chart or table directly below it.
Understanding the KPI Summary
At the top of the report section, three numbers give you your daily performance at a glance:
Total Revenue
The total sales value for the selected day and platform(s). This is the gross revenue from all orders synced into LinkSyncSell. It does not account for fees or expenses - for net profit calculations, use the Expense & Profit Calculator.
Total Count of Orders
The total number of orders received on the selected day across your selected platform(s). Each order counts as one, regardless of how many items are in it.
Average Order Value (AOV)
Total Revenue divided by Total Count of Orders. This tells you how much customers are spending on average per order. Rising AOV can be a sign that your higher-priced items are selling well. Falling AOV might suggest smaller orders are coming in.
How to Filter the Report
You can adjust what the report shows using three controls:
- Filter by platform. Click the All Platforms dropdown. Select a specific platform (Shopify, Faire, Amazon, or TikTok Shop) to see data for that platform only. Select All Platforms to see combined data across all connected platforms.
- Change the date. Click the date button (shows today's date by default). Select a different date from the calendar to view data for that day.
- Add a comparison. Click the Compare to dropdown and choose one of the following:
- No Comparison - shows only the selected day's data (default)
- Previous Day - overlays yesterday's data so you can see how today compares
- Previous Week - overlays data from the same day last week
When a comparison is active, the chart will show two lines or two sets of bars so you can see both periods side by side.
Chart View vs Table View
The report can display in two formats. To switch between them:
- Look for the view toggle near the top right of the report widget.
- Click the chart icon to see the graph view.
- Click the table icon to see the table view.
What each view shows:
- Chart view - A visual graph plotting revenue or order counts hour by hour across the selected day. Great for seeing trends - when your peak selling hours are, whether sales are accelerating or slowing down.
- Table view - The same data displayed as rows and columns, with exact numbers for each hour. Better for precise figures if you need to reference specific values.
Viewing the Full Report
- The widget on the Overview page and the By Hour Revenue and Count of Orders report in Reporting Analytics display the same data and use the same widget.

To export data from this report:

Tips & Notes
Troubleshooting
Revenue shows $0 even though I know I have orders.
Check that the date is set to today and the platform filter is set to All Platforms. If it still shows $0, wait a few minutes for the next sync cycle and refresh the page. If the issue continues, check the Process Log (Help & Records > Process Log) for any sync errors on that platform.
Data might be delayed - what's normal?
Orders sync every 15 to 30 minutes. Revenue figures can lag by up to 30 minutes. Inventory and pricing data syncs daily around 4am (your company's timezone), so those changes won't be reflected in real time.
A platform I'm connected to isn't appearing in the filter dropdown.
Check that the platform is successfully connected under Catalog > Connect Platforms. If it's connected but still not showing, check the Process Log for any connection or sync errors for that platform.
My order count looks lower than what the platform shows.
Make sure the date range matches what you're comparing. LinkSyncSell shows orders for the selected day only - not a running total. If there's still a discrepancy, some orders may not have synced yet, or there could be a sync error. Check the Process Log.
