Bulk Updating Costs and Exporting Data

Updated July 2026 ยท Expense & Profit Calculator

Overview

If you manage a large catalog, editing costs one product at a time isn't practical. The bulk tools let you update expenses at scale and export your profit data for offline analysis or accounting.

Bulk Updating Expense Costs

  1. Select the products or variants you want to update using the checkboxes
  2. Click Adjust Expense Cost in the bulk actions bar
  3. Choose how to change the cost: Set new cost, Increase cost, or Decrease cost
  4. Pick the platform it applies to (or Shared) and the Expense Cost you want to update
  5. Enter the value (a fixed amount and/or a percentage, depending on the cost)
  6. Click Save & Apply changes, then confirm again in the final prompt - the change is applied to all selected rows

Note: When using Decrease cost, any value that would go below zero is automatically set to 0.

All bulk updates are recorded in the Process Log, including what changed and the old and new values.

Exporting Your Data

  1. Select the rows you want to export (or select all)
  2. Click Export
  3. The export is prepared in the background and sent to the Export Center - go there to download it when it's ready (export files expire after 7 days)

The export is an Excel workbook containing your current Expense Cost values per platform for each product variant (with SKU and product name), structured so you can edit it and re-import. It is a cost-input file, not a profit report - it doesn't include revenue or profit/margin columns.

Importing Cost Updates

If you prefer to update costs via spreadsheet:

  1. Export your current data to use as a template
  2. Make your changes in the spreadsheet (keep the SKUs - rows are matched by SKU)
  3. Click Import and upload the updated file
  4. Imports accept Excel files only (.xls or .xlsx) - CSV is not supported
