Tracking Product Counts
Overview
The Today's Product Count section on your Overview page gives you a real-time snapshot of your entire catalog across every connected platform. Instead of logging into five platforms to count your listings, you see everything in one table - broken down by platform and by listing status.
This section helps you keep your catalog healthy. You can instantly spot if products have gone inactive unexpectedly, or if products are sitting in draft when they should be live.
How to Access
The Today's Product Count section is on the Overview page (your home dashboard). Scroll down past the revenue widget to find it.
How to Read the Table
The table shows one row per connected platform. Each row tells you exactly how many products on that platform are in each possible state.
Here's what each column means:
Platform
The name of the selling platform - Shopify, Faire, Amazon, or TikTok Shop.
Total
The total number of product listings on that platform currently synced into LinkSyncSell. This is the sum of all the status columns combined.
Active
The number of listings that are live and visible to buyers. These products can be found and purchased by customers on that platform right now.
Active-Sold Out
The number of listings that are published and visible, but have zero inventory available. The listing is still live, but customers will see it as out of stock. You may want to restock or deactivate these listings depending on your strategy.
Inactive
The number of listings that have been deactivated or archived on that platform. These products are not visible to buyers. You might deactivate a listing intentionally (seasonal items, discontinued products) or it may have been deactivated automatically by the platform for some reason.
Draft
The number of listings that exist in your platform account but have not been published yet. Draft listings are invisible to customers. They're works in progress - either still being set up on the platform, or not yet ready to go live.
Deleted
The number of listings that have been deleted from that platform. Deleted listings no longer exist on the platform but may still appear in your LinkSyncSell records for reference.
Local Draft
The number of listings that exist in LinkSyncSell but have not yet been pushed to the platform. A Local Draft is a product you've created or imported into LinkSyncSell, but the corresponding listing hasn't been sent to the selling platform yet. You'll need to publish it before buyers can see it.
What the Numbers Tell You
The product count table is a quick health check for your catalog. Here's how to use it:
Too many Active-Sold Out listings?
This means customers can see your listings but can't buy anything. Consider restocking those items, updating your inventory, or deactivating listings you don't plan to restock soon.
Inactive listings piling up on one platform?
If you didn't deactivate those listings on purpose, something may have changed on the platform (a policy issue, a sync error, or an account limitation). Investigate by going to Catalog > Status Manager.
A platform shows fewer products than expected?
A listing you expected to see might be in Draft, Expired, or Deleted status - or it may not have synced yet. Check the breakdown to find where it might have landed.
Local Draft count higher than expected?
If you have products saved in LinkSyncSell that haven't been pushed to a platform yet, they'll show here. Use the Product Attribute Editor to review and publish them.
Tips & Notes
Troubleshooting
The counts look wrong - they don't match what I see on the platform.
This is usually a sync timing issue. The counts update when a sync runs, not in real time. Trigger a manual sync from Platform Management > Platform Settings and then refresh the Overview page. If counts are still off after syncing, check the Process Log (Help & Records > Process Log) for any errors.
How do I refresh the data?
Refresh your browser to see the latest data that's been synced. To pull in the most current data from your platforms, trigger a manual sync from Platform Management > Platform Settings. Note that manual syncs are available once per hour.
I see products in "Local Draft" that I didn't create.
Local Drafts can be created when a product is imported or saved in LinkSyncSell but not yet pushed to a platform. If you're seeing unexpected Local Drafts, go to Catalog > Master Product Listings and filter by Local Draft status to review them. You can either publish them to the platform or delete them if they're not needed.
