How to Update Status and Inventory (Manual & Bulk)
Overview
You can update product status and inventory counts directly in the Status Manager - either one listing at a time or many at once. Any changes you make are pushed to the connected platform automatically.
Manual Updates (Single Product)
Use manual updates when you need to make a specific change to one listing.
- Go to Catalog > Status Manager.
- Find the listing you want to update. Use the search bar or filters to locate it quickly if needed.
- In the Actions column for the relevant platform, click Edit.
Make your changes. Depending on the platform, you can update:
- Listing status - set the product to Active or Inactive
- Variant visibility - show or hide individual variants
- Inventory count
- Sell When Out of Stock (Shopify only)
- Save your changes.
- A completion banner will appear at the top of the page confirming whether the update succeeded or failed
Bulk Updates
Use bulk updates when you need to make the same change across many listings at once - for example, activating all your listings on a new platform or zeroing out inventory for a product you're discontinuing.
- Go to Catalog > Status Manager.
- Select the listings you want to update:
- Click individual checkboxes to pick specific listings
- Use the selection dropdown to choose Select Current Page (everything visible on the current page) or Select All (every listing across all pages). You can also Unselect All to clear your selection.
- Once you've made your selections, a bulk action toolbar will appear.
- Choose the action you want to apply:
- Mark Product Active - set all selected listings to Active
- Mark Product Inactive - set all selected listings to Inactive
- Adjust Inventory - set a new inventory count, or increase/decrease the current count, across all platforms or only selected ones
- Show Variant / Hide Variant - change variant visibility on the selected listings
- Sell When OOS (Shopify) - toggle the Sell When Out of Stock setting for selected Shopify listings
- Enter the values you want and confirm the action.
- A completion banner will appear showing the result.
Understanding the Completion Banner
After every update - manual or bulk - a banner appears at the top of the page:
- Update Successful - all selected listings updated without any issues.
- Partial Update Complete - some listings updated, but others didn't. Check the Process Log for details on which listings had issues and why.
- Update Failed - the update didn't go through at all. Check the Process Log for the error details.
Troubleshooting
An update fails for a specific platform.
Check that the platform is still connected under Catalog > Selling Platforms. A dropped connection will prevent updates from being pushed.
The status change isn't appearing on the platform.
Open the Process Log and look for error messages related to that platform. Sometimes API rate limits or platform-side issues can delay or block updates. Note that changes may also take some time to appear on the platform after the update is made.
I can't change my Amazon listing's status.
This is expected behavior. Amazon doesn't allow listing status changes through third-party APIs. You'll need to make that change directly in Amazon Seller Central.
