Creating and Managing Master Products

Updated July 2026 ยท Master Products

Overview

The Master Product Listings page gives you a bird's-eye view of your entire product catalog. You can see all your Master Products at once, quickly check which platforms each product is linked to, and jump straight into editing any specific listing. This is your starting point for catalog navigation in LinkSyncSell.

The Master Product Listings Landing Page

How to Access

In the left sidebar, click Catalog -> Master Product Listings.

What You See

The landing page shows a table with every Master Product in your catalog. Each row represents one product and shows:

  • Photo - a thumbnail of the product image
  • Master Product Name - the unified product name in LinkSyncSell. Click this to open the Individual Master Product Summary page.
  • Creation Date - when this Master Product was first created in LinkSyncSell
  • Last Modified Date - when the Master Product record was last updated
  • Platform Listing Icons - a small icon for each connected platform

Understanding the Platform Icons

The platform icons tell you at a glance where a product is listed:

  • A colored (active) icon means the product is linked to a listing on that platform. Click the icon to open that listing directly in the Product Attribute Editor.
  • A grayed-out icon means the product doesn't have a linked listing on that platform yet.

Searching and Filtering

Use the search bar at the top of the table to find products by Master Product name. You can also apply filters to narrow your view - for example, filtering to show only products that are linked (or not linked) to a specific platform or to filter by a SKU. Click any column header to sort the table by that column.

The Individual Master Product Summary Page

How to Access

Click any Master Product Name in the landing page table to open the summary page for that product.

What You See

The summary page focuses on one specific product and shows everything connected to it:

  • Master Product ID - the unique internal identifier LinkSyncSell uses for this product
  • Master Product Name - the unified product name
  • A table with one row for every platform you have connected to LinkSyncSell. If this Master Product has a listing on a platform, the row shows that listing's details; if it doesn't, the row shows a grayed-out icon and a dash, with the option to create a listing. Each row shows:
  • Photo - the listing's product image
  • Connected Platforms - which marketplace this row represents
  • Product Title - the exact name of the product as it appears on that platform (this may differ from the Master Product Name)
  • Product Status - the current computed status of this listing
  • Number of Variants - how many variants this listing has on that platform
  • Edit Product Listing - opens the Product Attribute Editor for this platform listing. The label changes with the listing's state: Edit for an existing listing, Finish Draft for a local draft, or Create when the product isn't listed on that platform yet
  • Platform Action - a View link that opens an internal breakdown of that platform's variants, where you can review inventory, pricing, and profit per variant. Platforms with no listing yet show no action here

Below the platform table, the Product Insights and Management Tools section gives you quick links to related pages - such as pricing and inventory - for this Master Product.

Actions You Can Take

From the Master Product Listings area, you can:

  • Open a listing for editing - click the platform icon on the landing page or the Edit Product Listing button on the summary page. Both take you to the Product Attribute Editor.
  • View a platform's variants - click the View link in the Platform Action column on the summary page to open an internal breakdown of that platform's variants, where you can review inventory, pricing, and profit per variant.
  • Navigate directly to a platform listing - click the active platform icon on the landing page to go straight to that platform's listing in the Product Attribute Editor.
  • Rename a Master Product - click the pencil icon next to the Master Product Name on either the landing page or the summary page. This changes only the internal name used inside LinkSyncSell; it does not affect the product titles shown on your connected platforms.

Troubleshooting

A platform shows no listing on the summary page.

Every connected platform gets its own row on the summary page. If a platform's row shows a grayed-out icon, a dash, and a "Create" button, this Master Product simply has no listing linked on that platform yet. Click Create to build a new listing, or go to Catalog > Link Products to link an existing one.

The number of products looks wrong.

Make sure you don't have any search terms or filters active - these can hide products from the table. Clear all filters and the full count should appear. If you still think something is missing, check Catalog > Link Products > Listings that Need Attention for any products that weren't auto-linked during import.
