Fetching Platform Inventory & Status

Updated July 2026 ยท Status Manager

Overview

LinkSyncSell keeps your inventory and listing statuses in sync with your connected platforms automatically. If you've just made a change directly on a marketplace and don't want to wait for the next automatic sync, you can trigger a manual sync yourself to pull the latest data right away.

๐Ÿ“
Note: there is no manual "fetch" button on the Status Manager page itself. The manual sync lives on the Connect Platforms page and inside the Product Attribute Editor, and it runs one platform at a time.

How syncing works

LinkSyncSell syncs each connected platform automatically once a day, at approximately 4 AM in your company's configured timezone. This pulls the latest inventory counts, pricing, and listing statuses for products you've already imported.

On Shopify, inventory updates also arrive in near real time through a webhook, so stock changes there usually appear without waiting for the daily sync.

Running a manual sync

If you need fresher data before the next automatic sync, use the Sync Product Changes button. It pulls the latest updates from the platform for products that are already imported - it does not import new products (use Import/Add Products for that).

You'll find it in two places:

  • On the Connect Platforms page (Catalog > Connect Platforms) - each connected platform's card has its own Sync Product Changes button.
  • Inside the Product Attribute Editor - syncs the platform you're currently editing.

Steps:

  1. Go to Catalog > Connect Platforms.
  2. Find the card for the platform you want to refresh.
  3. Click Sync Product Changes. LinkSyncSell will pull the latest inventory, pricing, and status for your already-imported products on that platform.
  4. The sync runs in the background. You can track its progress and result in the Process Log.

When to use it

A manual sync is most useful when:

  • You updated inventory directly on a platform and want LinkSyncSell to reflect the new count now
  • You changed a listing's status on a platform and want to confirm it shows correctly here
  • You resolved a listing error on a platform and want to confirm the status has cleared
  • You suspect your data is stale and want a fresh pull before a bulk action
๐Ÿ“
Note: You can only run a manual sync about once per hour per platform. If you've synced recently, the button may be temporarily disabled, with a message asking you to wait up to an hour before trying again.

Tip: You usually don't need to sync manually - the daily automatic sync (and Shopify's real-time inventory webhook) keep things up to date on their own. Use the manual sync only when you need immediate accuracy.

Troubleshooting

Data still looks wrong after syncing.

Open the Process Log (Help & Records > Process Log) and look for any errors related to the sync. A platform API issue or a connection problem can sometimes prevent a sync from completing successfully.

One platform's data isn't updating.

Check that the platform is still connected under Catalog > Connect Platforms. If the connection has been interrupted, reconnect it before data can sync again.
